This Saturday is the third and final session for the Terroir series of wine classes hosted by District Sommelier Caterina Mirabelli. Classes are limited to 15 participants. Your ticket includes 2 hours of wine education, reserve-quality wine tasting and brunch with all you can drink mimosas.
Wine Class 01: Terroir
In this class, you will learn about terroir (soil, climate) and how it ultimately affects the wine you taste. You'll get your hands dirty with soil samples, discuss micro-climates and review the different irrigation techniques winemaker's use to make the best wine in their region. And of course, no wine class is complete without tasting! Caterina will show you how to match the wines your tasting with the terroir you've learned about. We'll wrap things up with a pop quiz and hand out prizes to those who score the highest.
